“There’s some good in this World, Mr. Frodo, and it’s worth
fighting for.”
When I was little, I remember seeing the trailer for Fellowship of the Ring and really wanted to see it with knowing what the movie was about. After watching it in theaters I was speechless by how breathtaking the whole movie. I became a diehard fan of the series. Read the books before bed every night, had the action figures, and played all the video games. As I got older I still love everything about the series and the mythology of Middle Earth. Peter Jackson did a phenomenal job bring Tolkien’s world to life and the characters too. All the locations are beautiful and jaw dropping. Every character serves as a purpose to the story which is every different from other movies. Nobody feels like side character by no means. Everyone has a reason in being on this quest. Usually in series people pick out which is their favorite or least. With me, I love each one for different reasons. Fellowship of the Ring is great for world building, getting to know our heroes, and the start of the journey to destroy the one Ring. It may feel a little slow at first but its all build up to get to the adventure. The Two Towers is a great sequel that takes three storylines and collaborating them together while making everything cohesive. The battle of Helm’s Deep is the reason it’s so amazing. Sam’s monologue is so true and hits us all in the feel knowing that when things go bad, one thing can change everything. Every story has a horrible dark story that we all wonder how our characters will make this story any better. Return of the King is an emotional rollercoaster. It’s sad, intense, epic, and uplifting. The battle of Minas Tirth and Mordor are just the icing on the cake. Everything has lead to this moment. It’s very long but definitely worth your time but bring a box of tissues cause you will undoubtedly have more than just one tear. The films are more than just the basic the fight between good and evil. It’s about friendship, love, bravery, fighting for what’s right, honor, sacrifice, and family.
